ARM DROP LIVES CANCELS EVENT AT HEARTLAND PARK
Rich Christensen and his officials today announced the cancellation of the
October 9 & 10 ArmDrop Live event scheduled at Heartland Park Topeka due to
not meeting a required minimal
car count for the event.
Christensen waited until the last possible moment to make the
decision in hopes that the situation would resolve itself. Unfortunately, that
did not happen.
“Fans and Racers I regret that due to not meeting a required minimal car count two weeks prior to the event that my staff and I have decided to cancel our event at HPT,” said Christensen. “Without the proper adequate racer participation it’s truly impossible for us to hold a fair and exciting ArmDrop event.  I appreciate the support all our fans have shown for my TV shows and ArmDrop Live and ask that you come out visit Heartland Park Topeka in 2010 because they truly are keeping the sport of drag racing alive!”
While disappointed, Raymond Irwin, Heartland Park Topeka owner,
understood Christensen's difficult decision.
“It is disappointing that they had to cancel this event as we were
looking forward to hosting it,” said Irwin.В
“Unfortunately, these things happen sometimes. Rich and his crew strive to put on the very
best show possible and we understand that Rich made this decision in the best
interest of the racers and fans.В We wish
Rich the best of luck for the rest of 2009 and look forward to working with him
for the Pinks All Out event at HPT in 2010.”
