    TOPEKA, Kan. – The thrilling excitement and heart-pounding action of NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing returns to Heartland Park Topeka for the 22nd annual O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Summer Nationals, the ninth of 23 events in the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Countdown to the Championship.
            Thousands of fans were in attendance last year to witness Top Fuel veteran Larry Dixon race his Al-Anabi Racing dragster to his second win at Heartland Park Topeka when he defeated Clay Millican in the final round. Ron Capps raced to his fourth win of the season and third at Heartland Park when he beat fan favorite Ashley Force Hood, who was making her third final round appearance in six races. Pro Stock’s Allen Johnson held of eventual Full Throttle world champion Mike Edwards to grab his first win of the season.
Many of the biggest names in the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series will blast their way toward the finish line and keep the fans on the edge of their seats. Stars like fan-favorite John Force and his teammate, 2009 Funny Car world champion Robert Hight. Top Fuel sensation Antron Brown will be starting his third season in the Top Fuel ranks as driver of the Matco Tools dragster. Brown will be looking to dethrone current and seven-time world champion and newly named teammate, Tony “The Sarge” Schumacher. As always, fans will have the opportunity to interact with their favorite drivers as they’re granted an exclusive pit pass to the most powerful and sensory-filled motorsports attraction on the planet.
SCHEDULE: Full Throttle Series qualifying sessions are scheduled for 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 21 and will continue at noon and 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 22. Final professional eliminations begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 23.

В TELEVISION: ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will televise two hours of qualifying coverage at 8 p.m. (ET) on Saturday, May 22. On Sunday, May 23, ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD will feature NHRA Race Day, a 30-minute pre-race show, at 11 a.m. (ET), and three of eliminations coverage at 9 p.m. (ET).
