Super Chevy Show signs Trailer Toad as contingency sponsor

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 22) -- It's a match made in heaven. But also one that makes perfect sense.
The Super Chevy Show, a 10-race, family-oriented series that features a car show and drag racing, and Trailer Toad, which produces a product that makes it easier for Super Chevy Show entrants to travel to and from each of the 10 events, announced this week a sponsorship agreement that will help support the touring series during four of the final eight events of the 30th anniversary season.

Trailer Toad LLC produces a trailer hitch assembly that prevents damage to motor homes caused by overloading the hitch, frame and suspension. Many Super Chevy Show entrants use the product. Trailer Toad will be present at Super Chevy Show events in Denver, Colo., Topeka, Kan., Houston and Bristol, Tenn.

"Trailer Toad is pleased to announce that it has signed on as a contingency sponsor with the Super Chevy Shows for 2010 and beyond," Trailer Toad's Jok Nicholson said. "We feel increasing the exposure of our product, the Trailer Toad hitch assembly, will benefit many Super Chevy Show participants who are towing heavy trailers with motor homes, pickups with slide-in campers, pickups and SUVs. The Trailer Toad protects the tow vehicle from the damages caused by overloading the hitch, frame and suspension. We look forward to seeing many of (them) at upcoming Super Chevy events."

Trailer Toad, of Janesville, Iowa, is also debuting the latest version of the Trailer Toad 3500HD. It is designed primarily for motor home owners, like the ones who will tow their race and show cars to Super Chevy Show events, who are towing heavy trailers, like race car trailers, souvenir trailers, horse trailers or utility trailers. It also works well for pick-up trucks with slide-in campers and sports utility vehicles. The Trailer Toad 3500HD protects motor homes from frame damage, body side-wall damage and prevents overloading of suspension components and tires. Overall handling and braking is improved as the coach has no additional weight on it from the trailer. The Trailer Toad 3500HD is unique in that it is a weight-bearing hitch with its own suspension and steerable torsion-axle.

Over 650 Trailer Toads in use today protecting tow vehicles and improving the owner’s towing experience.

The Super Chevy Show is a 10-race touring series that makes stops at some of the top drag strips in the country. The series has already made stops at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Virginia Motorsports Park in Petersburg, Va., with the next race scheduled for the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, Texas on May 21-23.
