No outside food or drink are allowed. Visitors can go to their cars during the event  be sure to get hand stamped so they may re-enter the facility.  No weapons of any kind are allowed on HPT property.


Yes, handicap parking is located in the main spectator parking lot. A person must have a handicap tag or hang down tag to park there. There are signs directing spectators where certain parking areas are located. (Refer to your facility map for locations). We have handicap seating on the spectator and the pit side. Both pit and spectator sides are wheelchair accessible. Also, we have golf carts for handicap assistance. They will transport spectators from inside the spectator gate to other locations inside the facility.


No, there will be no rental carts available at the track. Spectators are not allowed to use wheeled vehicles (i.e. golf carts, mopeds, four wheelers, skateboards, bicycles, etc.) inside the facility. Motorized wheelchairs are acceptable for spectators. Racers or participants are allowed motorized vehicles in the pit area only and they must be registered with the NHRA.  

Yes, Heartland Park Topeka has a medical building located on the pit side across from the gas pumps and tech building.

Yes, located at the Souvenir Store.

We do charge $10 for general parking and $15 for preferred parking during the NHRA Summer Nationals.  We also charge $10 for general parking for all other events at the drag strip.  There is no charge for parking for dirt track events.

No, motorhomes must be parked in one of the four camping lots. Cost is $100 for the NHRA Summer Nationals weekend and $50 for all other weekends.

Yes, beer will be sold on spectator and pit side. Beer can be taken into any grandstands. We also sell mixed drinks at the High Octane Lounge located in the concession area.

At the Registration Building located by Gate E.  Anyone picking up tickets will have to show a picture ID.

No one, regardless of age, can enter the suites without a suite ticket. Those must be obtained from the suite owners.  NHRA ID badges are not allowed access either.

Yes, located in the food court on the west side (pitside) and one in our souvenir stand.

The campground parking lots will open on the Thursday before the NHRA Summer Nationals at 9:00 am for campers to come in.  All four (4) camping lots will be open 24 hours a day.  A 24 hour security guard will be working the camping lot entrances during the NHRA Summer Nationals, so you may enter at anytime. 

There are NO HOOK UPS.  Each vehicle must be self contained to stay in the campground.  There will also be someone coming in to pump out holding tanks, if needed. Tents are allowed in the camping area.

Beginning on Wednesday, May 18 at 10 a.m. until 5p.m. They will need to get in line at Gate E and they will be directed into the facility from there.

If the motorhome is their tow vehicle and they want to park by their race trailer there will be a designated pit area for this. It will include race trailers that are set up to sleep in. This will not apply to Pro drivers they will be in the Pro pit area.

Beginning on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tech will be inside the facility in a designated area.


Yes, but super suites sell out in advance so it is best to buy them early. And every person needs a suite ticket, regardless of age.

Dogs are allowed 
inside the main spectator gate if on a leash for all events except the NHRA Summer Nationals.  No pets are allowed in for the NHRA Summer Nationals.

Daytime parking (18 wheelers, etc) will be directed to the back of the spectator lot. To stay overnight, larger vehicles must go to the campground.

No. All food, drinks and beer will be sold at each appropriately marked stand, on a cash/credit card basis.  No checks.

If the event is rescheduled, all tickets will be honored on the rescheduled date. All customers should hold onto their ticket or ticket stub and they will be advised as to what can be done. The schedule of the event is subject to change.
No refunds or vouchers for future events will be given.  Alcohol cannot be taken into the pit area. There are signs and personnel to indicate the area that alcohol may not be carried into.
