Heartland Park is proud to announce its participation in National Contingency Program
Heartland Park Topeka announced today that it is now part of the prestigious Contingency Connection national contingency program. Both the drag strip and BriggsAuto.com Speedway (dirt track) were chosen to participate in this program because of the importance Heartland Park places on the weekly racing at the facility.
“This is another great opportunity for Heartland Park Topeka to show our appreciation for our racers that put on such a great show for our fans,” said Joe Douthitt, General Manager of Heartland Park. “ The investment in this program is well worth the expense and we are proud to join a great group of tracks that offer this contingency program. We encourage all of our racers to take advantage of the benefits of this new program at Heartland Park Topeka.”
The contingency awards will be distributed at each race in the form of $25 product certificates. The drivers at BriggsAuto.com Speedway can begin participating in the program starting at the Super Saturday Showdown race on Saturday, April 21. ET Bracket racers can begin their participation on Saturday, April 28. Contingency awards will be awarded in a variety of ways throughout the season and details will be released before each race.
National manufacturers such as Edelbrock, Moroso, JE Pistons, Aeroquip, CV Products, Auto Meter, MSD, Comp Cams, Mr. Gasket, Richmond Gear, TCI, ACCEL, Lincoln Electric, Russell, Bully Dog, Taylor Vertex, Melling, Hastings, RJS Safety Equipment and many, many more will be posting awards for Heartland Park Topeka drag and dirt racers. Other New Programs for the 2012 Ferrellgas E.T. Bracket Series:
Autometer: Will be giving away 6 Gift Certificates: 3 $100 product certificates for 3rd place points earners in Super Pro, Pro, and Sportsman, and 3 $50 dollar gift Certificates to the 5th place points earners in Super Pro, Pro, and Sportsman.
MTS Custom Coatings: will be giving away 3 $100 product Gift Certificates for 4th place points earners in Super Pro, Pro and Sportsman
Williams Performance Powerglides and BTE: will give away Powerglide rebuild kits valued at $265 each in each of these classes: High School/ Street, Sportsman, Pro, amd Super Pro and will also award a BTE Torque Converter to the highest points earner in Super Gas with a value of up to $1,000, and the Runner-up in Super Gas will receive a $250 Gift Certificate towards BTE products as well.
Stinnett Automotive & Racing will give away a carb spacer to the season points runner up in Super Pro, Pro and Sportsman classes. Winner can choose from either a 4150 or a 4500 series spacer. These carb spacers are billet aluminum CNC machined for maximium velocity and air flow to increase horsepower and torque.
Returning to the 2012 FerrellGas E.T Bracket Series:
- A-1 Automotive Lumberjack Challenge- The challenge will work as follows: the first racer in Super Pro, Pro and Sportsman to have a perfect reaction time in eliminations and wins that elimination round would receive $20 from A-1 Automotive. If there is not a winner in each class the $20 will roll over to the next race.
- St. Mary’s Auto Sales Driver of the Year Award- The driver at the end of the year in Super Pro, Pro, and Sportsman who accumulates the most points at the end of the season will receive a $200 driver of the year award from St. Mary’s Auto Sales.
- Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers Bounty Hunter Program- The program will work as follows: All participants in Super Pro, Pro, and Sportsman classes are eligible. A bounty will be placed on each of the three category winners from the 1st HPT bracket race. At the 2nd race, whichever competitor in each class that eliminates the previous event winner will win the Freddy’s Bounty Hunter for that particular race. This process will carry over to each points race throughout the year. The elimination round must be 2nd round or after due to buy-backs first round. If the driver with the bounty repeats as a winner and doesn’t get eliminated, that competitor will win the bounty for that race. Each winner will receive gift certificates for free food compliments of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. If the event winner from a category is not present at the following bracket event, the bounty will be placed on the runner-up from the previous race. If the runner-up is also not in attendance, the bounty will be on the points leader of that particular class.
Heartland Park Gold Card -The points champion in each class, along with the points payout, will receive a Gold Card. The Gold Card will be good for 1 car/driver entry at each HPT points race for 2013. Topeka
