(Topeka, KS) Every now and then a break is warranted. They might not admit it, but the drivers at HPT.Com Speedway enjoyed their hiatus this past week. Even if it was for just a single race.

This Saturday night, June 25, 2011 at 7:30 pm., the racing action will get back into full swing as HPT Officials and the American Red Cross help raise funds for Tornado Relief Fund Efforts and the stars of dirt track racing in the capital city take to the track, once again.

Heartland Park employees have done an amazing job this season with their promotional efforts. Not only are their efforts working hard to promote the racing action at the facility, but they are also hard at work helping out worthy causes in the community.

It was just a few short weeks ago that HPT pushed Breast Cancer Awareness in Northeast Kansas and now the battle goes on to raising money for neighbors in need after the viscous tornados ravaged the midwest. It's a positive move that HPT has enjoyed making on several occasions this season.

The racing action is 2nd to none. Each of the divisions will be back in action this weekend; Casey's General Store Pure Stocks, White Line CDL Training B Mods, Super 8 at Forbes Landing Factory Stocks and the Washburn Tech Modifieds will complete the 1st half of the 2011 season.

Darron Fuqua is the hottest racer at HPT.Com Speedway. Two Saturdays ago, Fuqua drove to his 3rd straight win of the season in the Modified division. It also capped his 5th win of the season, the most wins of any driver in the class.

Cody Agler still holds the points lead, but with Fuqua reeling off wins, he has put himself into a position to chance the leader down and possibly pass him, if his luck holds up.

The Factory Stock class is one that packs pure adrenaline! During the last race in this class, fans were treated to 4 wide racing, super moves and jubilation.

Matt Field won his 2nd Factory Stock feature and it had to be one of the most exciting races of the season. Field put on a daring pass in traffic to place himself at the front of the field. Once he was there he made sure nobody passed him back on the way to the victory.

Competition in this class only gets better every week. New faces and new names can possibly make some noise this race weekend.

Just when you thought the Pure Stock points battle was going to be decided at the halfway point, here comes AJ Christian.

Christian held the points lead during the 1st half of the season, but it was taken away by Zach Henery while he was racking up 6 wins. The odds on favorite had to be Henery.

Last race Henery had problems and Randy Kohn knocked out his 3rd win of the season. (Kohn is having an super season in 2011) Since Henery had problems it allowed Christian to close back in on the points lead. He now trails Henery by 7 points. This is a battle that is far from over.

In the B Mod division, Marty Grist took home his 2nd win of the 2011 season.

Grist had his hands full at the end of the race. Mike Higley, another 2 time feature winner, was making a bid for the lead on the white flag lap, but came up just short at the stripe.

Grist, who has seen his share of ups and downs this season, had a to put together a sold outing to get the win. He achieved his task and more.

The season hops over the halfway point this season, but the action will be just as fast and just as furious as it has been all season. Drivers are starting to get antsy, the heat of the summer is still to come and the fans are ready for every single bit of action the 2011 season still has to offer.

Summer start times are still in effect. Gates will open at 6 p.m., hot laps begin at 6:45 p.m. and the racing action gets underway at 7:30 p.m.

Adult tickets are $10, kids 12 and under are $5.
